On November 07, 2023, Madagascar Airlines announced the appointment of Mamy Rakotondraibe as chairperson amidst financial challenges.

The airline has temporarily suspended long-haul operations to Europe, maintaining connectivity to Paris through a codeshare with Corsair. It plans to restructure its domestic ATR fleet and resume preventive maintenance.

Madagascar Airlines aims to return to the IATA Billing and Settlement Plan and merge the distribution systems of its predecessors, Air Madagascar and Tsaradia.
