Malawi’s Rayoni Tourism Airline Granted Air Operator Certificate (AOC)

AOC paves way for scheduled, unscheduled, and charter flights.

Rayoni Holdings Limited, a Malawian tourism, aviation, and hospitality company, announced on June 4, 2024, that it has been granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the Malawi Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Operations Launch and Fleet

The AOC allows Rayoni Tourism Airline, the commercial airline brand operating under the certificate, to offer scheduled, unscheduled, and charter flights within Malawi and potentially beyond its borders.

In a statement, the company outlined it is currently finalising procedures for launching its inaugural flights, expected to take place in the coming months. Details regarding the airline’s fleet composition have not yet been disclosed.
