Nigeria Authorities Confirm Commencement of Direct Flights Between Uganda and Nigeria
Nigeria CAA to undertake final surveillance on Uganda Airlines in August 2023, ahead of direct flights between Entebbe, Lagos, and Abuja.
Nigeria authorities have reaffirmed their February 2023 position confirming the commencement of flight operations between Entebbe, Lagos, and Abuja. A team from Nigeria CAA is scheduled to undertake surveillance on Uganda Airlines in August as a final requirement, according to the Uganda CAA.
This development follows signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Uganda and Nigeria in February 2023 to commence direct flights as part of the revised Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) between the two countries.
The agreement provides for reciprocal international commercial air transport services and aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
