Norse Atlantic Airways (N0)  has successfully launched its inaugural flight between London Gatwick and Cape Town, South Africa.

The sold-out flight arrived on October 29, 2024, with a warm welcome, including a water salute and a performance by a Marimba band.

The inaugural flight was attended by several dignitaries, including Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, His Excellency Antony Phillipson, British High Commissioner to the Republic of South Africa, Gjermund Sæther, Norwegian Ambassador to South Africa, and MEC Ivan Meyer, Western Cape Provincial Minister for Economic Opportunities.

Representatives from various organisations, including Airports Company South Africa, CTIA, Cape Town Air Access, and South African Tourism, were also present.

Norse Atlantic will operate this route three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
