NSIB and Aero Contractors Sign MoU to Advance Aviation Standards
Collaboration to enhance aviation safety, technical training, and resource-sharing frameworks

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) and Aero Contractors have formalised a partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 17, 2025, in Lagos.
Captain Alex Badeh Jr., Director-General/CEO of NSIB, stated that this agreement marks “a new chapter in our commitment to aviation safety and human capital development.”
Key Highlights of the MoU
- Structured training programs for NSIB and Aero Contractors personnel.
- Technical collaboration, including resource sharing.
- Specialised on-the-job training for NSIB Transportation Safety Officers and technical staff at Aero facilities (e.g., simulators and maintenance workshops).
- NSIB-led training for Aero Contractors’ personnel in accident investigation and related disciplines.
- Aiming to foster a robust exchange of expertise and elevate aviation safety standards.
Captain Badeh noted that the partnership aims to “elevate the standard of aviation safety training,” positioning Nigeria as a leader in transportation safety in the region.
