Qantas and Airlink Establish New Codeshare Partnership
Qantas codeshares with Airlink, expanding reach to up to nine destinations.
Qantas (QF) has announced a new codeshare partnership with Johannesburg-based carrier Airlink (4Z), expanding its network into South Africa.
Under this new agreement, Qantas will use the QF code for Airlink’s domestic network, enabling connectivity between Qantas flights to Johannesburg and nine South African destinations, including Cape Town, Durban, and Hoedspruit.
The carrier also stated that it plans to add more Airlink destinations in nearby southern African countries over the coming months, pending regulatory approval.
“This partnership allows us to offer our customers greater flexibility and convenience when traveling to South Africa,” said Qantas.
Benefits for Frequent Flyers
By codesharing with Airlink, Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Points and Status Credits.
Additionally, they can pay for flights using Points Plus Pay, enhancing the overall travel experience for loyal customers. “Our Frequent Flyers will benefit from the ability to earn and use points across a broader network.“
