Qatar Airways and Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, have announced a new interline partnership, effective August 2024.

This collaboration simplifies travel to the Maldives by allowing travellers to book both their international flight to Malé (Velana International Airport) with Qatar Airways and their domestic flight to their chosen resort with Maldivian in a single reservation on Qatar Airways’ website.

  • Seamless Booking: Travelers can now book both international and domestic flights on a single ticket, simplifying travel arrangements.
  • Checked Baggage: Passengers can enjoy the convenience of international baggage allowance throughout their entire journey.
  • Expanded Network: Access to 17 domestic destinations within the Maldives with Maldivian, including popular tourist spots like Dharavandhoo, Fuvahmulah, and Hanimaadhoo. Maldivian operates a mixed fleet of seaplanes and land-based aircraft to connect travellers to these island destinations.

Qatar Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Thierry Antinori, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating:
