Zimbabwe’s RGM International Airport Expansion Completed

Zimbabwe RGM International Airport’s US$153 million expansion project, increases annual passenger handling capacity from 2.5 million to 6 million.

The Zimbabwe RGM International Airport expansion project, which began in 2018, has been completed. The expanded facilities were inaugurated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa on July 14, 2023, in the presence of other government officials.

The US$153 million expansion project undertaken by contractor China Jiangsu International, increased the airport’s annual passenger handling capacity from 2.5 million to 6 million. The expansion works included extension of the new international terminal building, the installation of four additional aerobridges, extension of the apron, runway works, and installation of an airfield ground lighting system.
