Rome to Host the 2025 WTTC Global Summit

Rome will welcome global tourism leaders in late 2025.

The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced that the Italian capital, Rome, will host the 2025 WTTC Global Summit.

Scheduled for October 2025, the 25th Global Summit will bring together business leaders and government delegations worldwide. This marks the first time the event will be held in the historic Italian capital

The event aims to foster discussions on the pressing challenges facing the tourism sector and explore innovative solutions for the future, WTTC outlined.

A Return to Europe and a Celebration of Italian Tourism

The Global Summit in Italy will be staged in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, signifying a significant return to Europe after a six-year absence.

Daniela Santanchè, Minister of Tourism, Italy, expressed her pride in hosting the event:

I am proud, as the Minister of Tourism of Italy, to announce that our nation will host the WTTC Global Summit in October 2025,” Santanchè stated.

This event is recognised as the most important setting for dialogue between governments and the private sector, where leaders shape the future of global Travel & Tourism.

Building on the Success of Perth

The WTCC reports that the 2024 Global Summit in Perth attracted over 800 delegates and 100 journalists worldwide.

Renowned speakers, including John Kerry (68th U.S. Secretary of State) and Robert Irwin (Australian conservationist), discussed environmental challenges and tourism’s role in addressing them.

WTTC President Julia Simpson commended the summit’s success and thanked Tourism Western Australia for their contributions.
