Royal Air Maroc Named Official Global Partner for AFCON 2025, WAFCON 2024, and Other CAF Competitions
RAM to revise flight operations, increasing fleet capacity and schedules to accommodate heightened travel demand.

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has signed a strategic partnership with Royal Air Maroc (AT), granting Morocco’s national airline the status of Official Global Partner for upcoming football tournaments, including the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024.
In a statement on April 19, 2025, CAF announced that the agreement also extends to youth and club competitions, covering the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 and U-20 Africa Cup of Nations 2025, the CAF Champions League 2024/2025 Finals, and the CAF Women’s Champions League 2025.
Expanding Royal Air Maroc’s Role in African Sports
CAF notes that the partnership reinforces Royal Air Maroc’s role as a gateway between Africa and the world, further strengthening Morocco’s emergence as a global sports hub.
The airline previously served as the Official Carrier of the Atlas Lions during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, when the Moroccan national team reached the semi-finals—a first for an African nation.
Chairman and CEO Hamid Addou stated, “Royal Air Maroc does not just connect destinations, it also creates bridges between cultures and passions. By supporting the continent’s biggest football competitions, we affirm our role as a facilitator of human and sporting exchanges.”

RAM Enhancing Connectivity for CAF Events
CAF confirms that Royal Air Maroc will implement a new operational and commercial system to accommodate increased travel demand from football tournaments. The airline will expand its flight schedule, ensuring greater availability for supporters, teams, and officials across Africa and beyond.
CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe welcomed the partnership, stating, “Royal Air Maroc will provide comfort and fly national teams participating in AFCON 2025 and Women’s AFCON 2024. We are confident that AFCON 2025 will be the most successful in the history of this competition.”
Royal Air Maroc has indicated that its fleet expansion will support major events, including AFCON 2025, scheduled from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, and the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, taking place from July 5-26, 2025.
