SalamAir Completes Inaugural Muscat-Nairobi Flight
MCT-NBO flights launch with SalamAir

SalamAir, Oman’s low-cost airline, completed its inaugural flight from Muscat (MCT) to Nairobi (NBO) on March 17, 2025.
The welcome event, held at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, was attended by notable dignitaries, including Mr. Mohamed Daghar, Principal Secretary in Kenya’s Ministry of Roads and Transport, Her Excellency Nasra Salim Mohamed Al Hashmi, the Omani Ambassador to Kenya, and His Excellency Abdi Aden Korio, the Kenyan Ambassador to Oman.
Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir, highlighted the airline’s ambition, stating:
“We are thrilled to expand our network by introducing flights between Muscat and Nairobi. This new route supports our vision to connect Oman to key global destinations, strengthening economic and cultural ties in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.”
Hamilton-Manns further explained that this route provides affordable travel options, allowing passengers to explore business and tourism opportunities between Oman and Kenya.
He added that the connection also facilitates seamless onward travel from Nairobi to GCC countries and the Indian subcontinent.

According to him, “Nairobi is the first of several destinations SalamAir aims to introduce across East Africa,” underscoring the airline’s commitment to regional connectivity.
