SalamAir Launches New Non-Stop Flights to Nairobi
NBO-MCT non-stop flights, twice weekly from February 2025.
SalamAir, Muscat-based low-fare airline, has announced the launch of direct flights to Nairobi, Kenya.
The airline will operate two weekly flights from Muscat to Nairobi with Airbus A320, starting February 2025, offering passengers an affordable way to travel.
Expanding Network and Economic Links
According to SalamAir, the introduction of Nairobi is part of its strategy to expand in Africa, supporting Oman’s goal to enhance tourism and trade between the Middle East and East Africa.
SalamAir’s CEO, Adrian Hamilton-Manns, stated, “We are thrilled to add Nairobi to our expanding network. Nairobi is a hub for international travelers and a growing center for business, technology, and education.”
Hamilton-Manns added that with the new route, passengers from East Africa can now connect to destinations like India, Thailand, and Central Asia at low fares.
The airline noted that this move signifies the revival of the Nairobi-Muscat route, which Oman Air had suspended in 2020.
