Skyward Express Signs Agreement To Purchase One Dash 8-400

Farnborough International Airshow 2024 – De Havilland Canada announced (July 22) that Skyward Express has signed an agreement to purchase one DHC OEM Certified Refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft.

This deal supports DHC’s new OEM Certified Refurbishment Program,“keep the fleet flying,” designed to extend the life of Dash 8 aircraft and meet growing customer demand.

Refurbishment Program 

The De Havilland Canada OEM Certified Refurbishment Program offers comprehensive refurbishment services for Dash 8 aircraft.

DHC acquires used Dash 8 aircraft, upgrades them to meet specific customer requirements, and re-markets them. Refurbishment work is conducted at DHC’s facilities in Calgary, Alberta.

Services include aircraft reconfiguration; freighter conversions – including the introduction of the new Dash 8-400 Large Cargo Door & Quick Change between cargo and passenger missions; and avionics upgrades.

Ryan DeBrusk, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for De Havilland Canada, expressed enthusiasm about Skyward Express expanding its Dash 8-400 fleet through the refurbishment program, highlighting the popularity of the Dash 8 in Kenya and the strong partnership between the two companies.
