South African Airways (SA) announced it’s adding capacity in the wake of Comair’s temporary suspension of flight operations. The adjusted flying program is a move to alleviate the demand on routes, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and other routes currently serviced by the airline.

We empathize with Comair and understand the difficulties caused by COVID and high fuel prices […] SAA will increase frequencies where possible and use existing capacity to meet customer demand. Kindly check our social media platforms and website for the latest information.” – FlySAA Statement, June 02, 2022.
