South African Airways (SA) has announced that it has deployed a Boeing 737 on select domestic flights, citing “industry-wide constraints with aircraft availability.”

In a statement, SAA outlined that it will operate a hybrid fleet service, with aircraft offering economy class only, along with its normal full-service aircraft. The leased Boeing 737, a high-density aircraft, will operate starting July 09, 2023, for a limited period.

“Our premium customers, already booked, will continue to enjoy the full range of seamless and comfortable services, including priority check-in and priority boarding. Access to SAA lounges is available to eligible individuals, Standard baggage allowance as well as Fast track where available.”
