South African Airways to Fly Direct Cape Town–Mauritius
3X weekly service begins December 9, 2025, with seasonal adjustment planned for early 2026
South African Airways (SA) will introduce a new direct air link between Cape Town and Mauritius, starting December 9, 2025.
The new route, reports SAA, expands access between Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean, supporting mobility for travellers in the Western Cape.
Cape Town–Mauritius Flight Schedule
The Cape Town–Mauritius route will operate three times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday—between Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU).
- SA194 (CPT – MRU): Departs 09:25, Arrives 16:30
- SA195 (MRU-CPT): Departs 17:20, Arrives 21:30
SAA has confirmed that flight frequency will be temporarily reduced to twice weekly between mid-January and mid-March 2026, based on seasonal travel demand.
“Connecting Cape Town with Mauritius is a fascinating achievement that our team has been aspiring towards for quite some time,” said Professor John Lamola, Chief Executive Officer of SAA.
He added that the link will boost regional holiday travel and advance shared tourism goals between South Africa and Mauritius.
