South African Civil Aviation Authority and the Civil Aviation Administration of China Sign a MoC
SACAA and CAAC's collaboration to enhance civil aviation standards
On November 15, 2024, the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) took a significant step forward in strengthening their bilateral cooperation.
During a meeting in Beijing, China, SACAA Director Poppy Khoza and CAAC Deputy Administrator Hu Zhenjiang signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) between their civil aviation authorities.
The MoC outlines areas of cooperation and support, including aviation safety, airworthiness certification, approval of maintenance organisations, oversight of flight operations and crew members, aviation medical certification, aviation security, and aviation training, among others.
Khoza expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This MoC signifies more than a formal partnership; it represents a guiding light for what can be achieved when countries unite with a common vision and objective.”
