TAAG Angola Airlines is adding four fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets to its fleet.

787s to Enable TAAG’s Fleet Modernisation and Expansion
Eduardo Fairen, CEO of TAAG Angola Airlines, expressed that their goal is to collaborate with top manufacturers globally to develop a multi-type fleet. “The 787 option aligns with our aim for modern, size-wise and efficient equipment. It will progressively replace our current widebody fleet and enhance our customers’ flight experience,” said Fairen.
Anbessie Yitbarek, Boeing’s Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing for Africa, highlighted that the 787 Dreamliner would enable TAAG Angola Airlines to expand its international network and open new routes. This move is a significant step in the carrier’s fleet modernisation plans.
Currently, TAAG Angola Airlines operates five 777-300ER (Extended Range) jets, three 777-200ERs, and seven 737-700s, serving 12 destinations across Africa, Europe, South America, and China.
