TAAG Angola Airlines Launches Ab-Initio Pilot Training Program with 43 Air School
First cohort of TAAG cadets begins pilot training at 43 Air School, announced March 25, 2025.

TAAG Angola Airlines (DT) reaffirmed its dedication to advancing national talent with the official launch of its Ab-Initio Initial Pilot Training program in March 2025.
During a special event, a group of 60 cadets was welcomed, celebrated, and awarded their certificates of participation, marking the beginning of their journey toward becoming commercial pilots.
According to TAAG, the program emphasises inclusivity by offering 60 scholarships, a move that ‘makes access to the pilot profession more inclusive and accessible.’
Comprehensive Aviation Training at 43 Air School
As part of the program, cadets will receive training at 43 Air School (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, recognised as one of the region’s leading aviation academies.
TAAG stated that the training, spanning up to 24 months, includes ‘both theoretical coursework and practical flight training under the guidance of experienced instructors.’ This ensures the program meets international aviation standards.
TAAG announced on March 25 that the first group of cadets has commenced training at the academy.

Led by a delegation comprising COO Iuri Neto and Chief of Legal and HR Neide Teixeira, the cadets ‘were enthusiastically welcomed by the 43 School, beginning a new phase in their journey towards becoming pilots.’
