U.S. and Angola Sign Open Skies Agreement

Delegations representing the Republic of Angola and the United States of America met in Washington on April 26, 2023, to initial the text of an Air Transport Agreement. 

The delegations noted their shared commitment to liberalization of international aviation and their shared view that the Agreement would further enhance the positive relationship between the two countries and open new opportunities for expanded air transportation services, benefiting travelers, airlines, and shippers.

“@SecretaryPete met with Angolan Transport Minister Ricardo Viegas d’Abreu to initial an Open Skies Agreement which would expand air connectivity between our two countries, and discussed shared priorities on infrastructure and climate.”
