United Nigeria Airlines Gets Approval to Fly to US, UK, Europe

United Nigeria Airlines, a privately owned carrier, announced on September 11, 2023, that the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development approved its request for international operations in the US, UK, Netherlands, Italy, UAE, and Ireland.

According to a letter signed by the Director of Air Transport Management, Mr. H. T. Ejiburu, the approval solidifies the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and the governments of these countries respectively.

Liaising with Civil Aviation Authorities

In the announcement, United Nigeria Airlines noted that it “will liaise with the Civil Aviation Authorities of the various countries to fulfill standard requirements for the commencement of flight operations.”
