The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has announced that World Tourism Day 2023 will be marked on September 27th – under the theme “Tourism and Green Investments”.

This year’s theme emphasises the importance of sustainable tourism that benefits local communities, preserves natural and cultural heritage, and contributes to global sustainable development goals.

World Tourism Day 2023 will be a call to action to the international community, governments, multilateral financial institutions, development partners and private sector investors to unite around a new tourism investment strategy.
