World Travel Awards 2024: Air Mauritius & Air Seychelles Top Indian Ocean
Winners at World Travel Awards 2024 Indian Ocean leg honored.
The World Travel Awards (WTA) recently revealed the winners for its Indian Ocean 2024 category, coinciding with the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) held in Dubai in May 2024.
Air Mauritius (MK) secured the titles “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline” and “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline – Business Class.” Air Seychelles, was voted the “Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline – Economy Class” and “Indian Ocean’s Leading Cabin Crew.”
Graham Cooke, Founder of WTA, commended the winners, stating they “represent the very best of the Indian Ocean’s travel and tourism.” Winners hailed from destinations in the region, including Seychelles, Reunion Island, Mauritius, Maldives, and Madagascar.

Air Seychelles Celebrates Wins
Commenting on the wins, Sandy Benoiton, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, expressed gratitude for the public’s vote: “The airline industry is as exciting as it is volatile and we do what we do with passion […] We build on experiences and we will use this as motivation for even better output this year and beyond.”
Looking Ahead
The WTA outlined the Indian Ocean awards are part of the prestigious WTA Grand Tour 2024, a global search for the best travel and tourism providers across six continents. Regional winners will progress to the Grand Final held in late-2024 in Madeira, Portugal.
