Airbus A380 Takes Flight for New Test Campaign
A380 resumes flight tests following upgrades

Airbus has announced that its first A380, registration F-WWOW, has returned to the skies following “months of preparation, system upgrades and the renewal of its test installations.“
On March 14, 2025, the aircraft began a series of flight test activities, which Airbus describes as part of its efforts to “enable the certification of all the latest developments that keep the A380 in-service fleet flying at the highest standards of safety and reliability.”
In March 2022, the A380 MSN1 marked a milestone by conducting flight tests from Toulouse using 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on one engine, covering all phases of flight—from take-off and climb to cruise and landing.
