Airbus GMF 2025–2044: SAF, Fleet Renewal, and Lifecycle Integration in Focus

Airbus’ 2025–2044 Global Market Forecast notes that fleet renewal remains a primary lever for lowering emissions, with 34% of the global in-service fleet now comprising latest-generation aircraft.
All current Airbus deliveries are 50% SAF capable—expected to rise to 100% by 2030.
Emissions per aircraft model are reported to be at least 20% lower than previous types, with the A220 and A350F reaching 25% and up to 40% reductions, respectively.
The company outlines €2.7bn in commercial R&D spend during 2024 targeting propulsion, aerodynamics, and operational efficiency.
As per the GMF, Airbus is also supporting around 12,000 active aircraft via tools such as Skywise and Airtac.
The first aircraft dismantled at Airbus Life Cycle Services in China achieved a 91% recycling rate, Airbus claims, with recyclability now integrated into future product design.
