Boeing & AFRAA Launch 2025 Sustainability Workshop Series
The two-part Sustainability Workshop takes place in 2025 (May 22, Virtual & December 2, In-person in Luanda).

Boeing, in collaboration with the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), will lead a two-part Sustainability Workshop Series in 2025, aimed at advancing environmental sustainability in Africa’s aviation sector, AFRAA announced.
The first session, set for May 22, 2025, will be virtual, ensuring broad stakeholder participation. The second, in-person session, will take place December 2, 2025, alongside AFRAA’s 57th Annual General Assembly & Summit in Luanda, Angola.
Practical Tools for Sustainability Goals
With the theme “Delivering Sustainable Aviation in Africa,” the workshops will provide practical strategies for airlines and aviation leaders, equipping them with essential tools to drive sustainability efforts, AFRAA outlined.
“This is about giving airlines and aviation leaders access to proven sustainability models that will help shape their strategies,” AFRAA stated in its announcement.
The sessions will introduce Boeing’s Sustainable Aerospace Together strategy, alongside key resources such as the Operational Efficiency Handbook and the Cascade Climate Impact Model.
Participants will also explore how Boeing collaborates with airlines to enhance operational efficiency through air traffic management solutions, increasing airport capacity and reliability, AFRAA noted.
