UK-based AfriSAF has launched with a stated mission to revolutionise access to Africa’s vast agricultural feedstock, positioning itself as a project enabler and developer.

Digital Marketplace at the Core of AfriSAF’s Strategy

Their approach centres on a digital marketplace, designed to connect feedstock owners and buyers, underpinned by logistics and support services intended to build a robust sector.

AfriSAF indicates an initial focus on partnering with agricultural out-growers and commercial farmers to cultivate energy oil crops on suitable land. This, they state, aligns with EU standards for advanced biofuels and SAF, specifically non-food competing feedstocks.

The company emphasises its aim to create sustainable value for communities through economic empowerment, skills development, and improved market access.

Alongside this, they highlight anticipated environmental benefits such as the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices and a reduction in emissions.

With a stated vision “to be the leading enabler and developer of sustainable fuel and material resources across Africa, creating meaningful value,” AfriSAF aims to unlock the continent’s feedstock potential, build a circular economy, and empower local communities.

Their innovative platform, they believe, will create efficient and transparent markets for agricultural feedstocks across Africa.
