Volar Air Mobility Holding Company Limited (Volar) and Etihad Aviation Training LLC (EAT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the adoption of green aviation alternatives in the UAE.

The MoU aims to establish a sustainability cluster to foster research and development of sustainable initiatives. The partnership will also engage with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to ensure regulatory compliance.

Etihad Aviation Training outlined, “This MoU is designed to enhance our collaboration, blend our expertise, and leverage our combined strengths in the field of advanced electric aircraft operations. Together, we aim to drive innovation and support the development of sustainable aviation.”

Etihad further stated they aim to set new standards for pilot training and support the industry in establishing a robust advanced air mobility network. “Our joint efforts will also help drive the UAE’s ambitious sustainability goals.”

The collaboration will focus on developing training programs, analysing data, and partnering with aviation authorities to enable the safe and efficient operations of the electric aviation sector.
