The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) unveiled the Hotel Sustainability Basics (Basics) verification scheme at the ITB Berlin 2023 event.

The initiative is a globally recognised and coordinated set of sustainability actions – up to twelve (12) that all hotels should implement as a minimum to drive responsible and sustainable Travel & Tourism.
