Air Botswana Expands Network: New Routes, Reinstated Services, and More Flights

New routes to Windhoek, Durban, Cape Town, and more starting October 2024. Boosting frequencies on popular routes.

Air Botswana (BP) announced it is expanding operations to include destinations in Namibia and South Africa, rolling out new routes in phases from September 15, 2024, to November 1, 2024.

The airline is also boosting frequencies on existing routes and reinstating routes previously suspended during the COVID era.

New Routes

Starting October 1, 2024:

Ads
  • Gaborone – Durban (3X weekly flights)
  • Gaborone – Windhoek (3X weekly flights)

Starting November 1, 2024:

  • Maun – Cape Town (3X weekly flights)
  • Maun – Windhoek (3X weekly flights)
  • Kasane – Mpumalanga (3X weekly flights)
  • Kasane – Cape Town (3X weekly flights)
  • Kasane – Windhoek (3X weekly flights)

Reinstated Routes (Suspended During COVID)

Starting September 1, 2024:

  • Johannesburg – Maun (4X weekly flights)
  • Johannesburg – Kasane (3X weekly flights)

Starting September 15, 2024:

  • Johannesburg – Francistown (3X weekly flights)

Increased Frequencies:

Starting November 1, 2024:

  • Gaborone – Cape Town (5X weekly flights)
  • Gaborone – Harare (3X weekly flights)
  • Gaborone – Lusaka (3X weekly flights)

Both these new and reinstated routes as well as increased frequencies will strengthen our footprint in the region and simultaneously offer increased flight options to the travelling community within Botswana and beyond,” stated Lulu Rasebotsa, Chief Executive Officer of Air Botswana.
