Astral Aviation Adds Capacity with Boeing 767-300F

Newly dry-leased freighter offers up to 52,700 kg payload and extended range capabilities

Astral Aviation (8V) acquired a dry-leased Boeing 767-300F (MSN 24146 / Reg 5Y-SVR), which arrived in Nairobi on April 26, 2025.

In a statement, Astral Aviation noted that the lease was facilitated through partnerships with Jetran LLC, Xtreme Aviation LLC, and Flight Lease Capital Management, highlighting a collaborative effort to address the increasing demand for cargo services globally.

Astral Aviation described the B767-300F as “a reliable and efficient freighter,” adding that it will “enhance our ability to serve key markets with improved payload capacity, extended range, and greater operational adaptability.

The B767-300F has a high payload capacity of approximately 52 tons (116,200 lbs/52,700 kg). The airline emphasised that that this milestone aligns with its commitment to connecting markets through innovative and sustainable air cargo solutions.
