New fleet enhances Berniq Airways’ regional and international routes

Farnborough Airshow, July 23, 2024 – Berniq Airways (Libya), has placed a firm order with Airbus for six A320neo Family aircraft.
The airline, which currently operates six A320s, becomes the first in Libya to order these advanced aircraft.

Fostering Connectivity
The new A320neo aircraft are intended to further develop Berniq Airways’ regional and international routes, according to a statement by the airline.
Waseem Ezzway, Chairman of Berniq Airways, stated: “This significant investment marks a new chapter for Berniq Airways as we continue to lead the way in modernising our fleet and enhancing our service offerings.” Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business, added: “The A320neo family will enable Berniq Airways to provide its customers with unparalleled comfort while offering exceptional economic advantages.”
A320 Family: Green Technology
Airbus emphasises that, like all their aircraft, the entire A320 Family can already operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The manufacturer aims to make its aircraft 100% SAF-capable by 2030.
