Cirium Reveals 2024 On-Time Performance Review Winners

Cirium, a top aviation analytics source, announced on January 2 the winners of its 2024 On-Time Performance Review, celebrating airlines and airports that excelled in on-time and operational performance.

Aeromexico, Mexico’s flag carrier, topped the global category with 86.70%, followed by Saudia (86.35%) and Delta Air Lines (83.46%)—topping the table for a fourth consecutive year

In the Africa and Middle East region, FlySafair (FA) ranked as the most on-time airline with an On-Time Performance (OTP) of 93.82%.

Jeremy Bowen, Cirium CEO, said “2024 was a difficult year for airlines, facing a large-scale IT outage, and unseasonable and severe weather patterns. Despite these challenges, these airlines and airports have worked tirelessly to ensure their customers have a smooth journey and reach their destination on-time.”

  • FlySafair (FA): 93.82% On-Time Arrivals, 93.69% On-Time Departures
  • Oman Air (WY): 90.27% On-Time Arrivals, 93.89% On-Time Departures
  • Royal Jordanian (RJ): 87.02% On-Time Arrivals, 87.34% On-Time Departures
  • Saudia (SV): 86.35% On-Time Arrivals, 88.82% On-Time Departures
  • Kuwait Airways (KU): 84.63% On-Time Arrivals, 87.10% On-Time Departures

According to Cirium, an on-time flight is defined as a flight that arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled gate arrival. For an airport, it is defined as departing within 15 minutes of its scheduled departure.
