South African Airways (SA) has announced a new partnership with the South African Football Association (SAFA) to become the Official Carrier for all South African national football teams, starting June 1, 2024.
The partnership encompasses all national teams, including the Africa Cup of Nations bronze medalists Bafana Bafana, the reigning African champions Banyana Banyana, and the inspiring junior squads.
SAA’s interim CEO, Professor John Lamola, expressed the airline’s pride in supporting SAFA:
“We welcome our national teams on board,” said Lamola. “We look forward to flying them around the world on national duty to represent our nation. We know the players and officials will be well taken care of and will enjoy our award-winning hospitality that SAA is renowned for.”
