This initiative is centered on promoting lesser-known destinations, making them more accessible to tourists, and encouraging tourists to broaden their horizons when choosing travel destinations.

Lasting Impact: Investing in Tourism Education

To ensure a lasting impact of World Tourism Day 2023 celebrations, UNWTO Secretary-General Pololikashvili and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb announced a joint project.

The project, named The Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality, aims to create new generations of skilled tourism workers. The school will offer a comprehensive range of educational programs, from diplomas and certificates to professional courses and degrees at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level.
