Empowering Farmers: Training 250 Providers to Educate 2,000+ Farmers

As part of the effort, Zipline confirmed that 250 animal health service providers will be trained to educate more than 2,000 farmers through live demonstrations and hands-on ruminant health sessions.

[We’re] bringing practical animal care knowledge directly to the communities that need it,” Zipline noted.

The company highlighted the challenges many rural farmers face, stating that “In many regions, livestock farmers are hours from the nearest agrovet. Treatments for farm animals arrive late—or not at all—and critical care knowledge is hard to access.”

Building Local Expertise: Long-Term Animal Care Knowledge

The program is expected to support livestock health, preserve livelihoods, and strengthen rural economies, Zipline stated.

It will also lay the foundation for long-term veterinary integration in Kenya’s agricultural sector through partnerships with counties, private providers, and professional associations.

Zipline indicated plans for potential expansion, stating, “If it works here, we scale.”
